Itinerary

Day 1: Alba

Individual arrival in Alba. Accommodation in hotel and overnight.

Day 2: Alba – Neive -Barbaresco -Manera (km 24/36)

Breakfast. Start your bike tour in Alba. The route runs entirely through the vineyards of the most famous wines of the region. Along the way you can make several stops in the typical villages of the

Langhe, in particular Neive with its castle and Barbaresco with its civic tower situated in a panoramic position over the Tanaro valley. Arrival and accommodation in hotel. Dinner at leisure. Overnight.

Day 3: Manera – The Romantic Route of Langhe & Roero – Serralunga (km 19)

Breakfast. An easy route today, almost entirely flat on the top of hills, with spectaculars views over the vineyards, following the “strada romantica delle Langhe e del Roero”, with nice village to stop for a break, and the castle of Serralunga which awaits for us at the end of the day.

Day 4: Serralunga – Castle of Grinzane Cavour – Barolo – La Morra (km 22)

Breakfast. The day begins with a nice downhill to the Talloria valley; at the end of it, those who wish can climb up to the castle of Grinzane. The route continues first to Castiglione Falletto, then to Barolo, home of the most famous and appreciated wine of Piedmont, and possibly of Italy, where the castle houses an interesting museum of wine and finally ends in La Morra, a magnificent terrace nestled over the hills. Accommodation in hotel and overnight.

Day 5: La Morra – Narzole & Cherasco (km 31)

Breakfast. Today we exit from the Langhe, crossing the river Tanaro, and we head to Bra. Along the way we meet some towns rich in history, as Narzole and Cherasco, who will welcome you with its

old town perched at the confluence of two rivers. Bra, where we spend the night, is the home of the Slow Food movement and is renowned for its good cuisine. Accommodation in hotel and overnight.

Day 6: Cherasco – Pollenzo – Roddi – Alba (km 24)

Breakfast. We go back to Alba on the last leg of our journey. The path is now very easy and includes a visit to Pollenzo, an ancient Roman colony that is today the seat of the University of taste. In Roddi we can make a short detour to get to the historic center dominated by the castle, before arriving to Alba.  Accommodation in hotel and overnight.

Day 7:  Alba

End of services after breakfast, or extra nights.

Medium level tour on cycle paths, backside roads and some dirt patches in fairly good conditions. The legs are short but undulating with one or more uphill every days.
