Day 1: Venice-Chioggia
From Venice airport/ railway station reach Chioggia by your own.
Arrival and accommodation in charming B&B. Time at disposal to visit Chioggia city centre.
Discover this charming town, known as “the little Venice”, situated in the southern part of the Venice Lagoon. Its history, art, landscape and art of cooking make it become an evocative and unique place to stay in. Day 2: Boat Tour Chioggia, Natural Oasis of Ca’ Roman & Pellestrina
In the morning departure for a boat excursion along the 3 most important canals of Chioggia, the old town of Sottomarina and the harbor.
Procced then to the Natural oasis of Ca’ Roman and the Octagon, the mussel farm and the wreck. You will then reach Pellestrina, where you will have a 30 minutes break in this little fisher island. Return to Chioggia. During the tour the captain will tell you about history and legends of Chioggia.
Free afternoon at disposal for a walk around Chioggia, a rich landscape of colours and light. Along the banks and the bridges, through the streets and above all the “Lungo Laguna” you can admire a rich landscape of sights and charming corners.
Dinner at leisure and overnight.
Day 3: Chioggia-Comacchio, Po River Delta & Wine Tasting
Check out and proceed to Comacchio. Along the way, you will pass through the Venetian Delta del Po Natural Park.
The landscape is flat, interspersed every now and then with small inhabited areas, from rows of poplars and from high banks of the Po river.
Lunch at leisure. On the way stop at the castle of Mesola, the hunting residence of Este Dukes. Proceed towards Comacchio and stop for a visit to the Monastery of Pomposa, a Benedictine abbey dating back to the seventh century, once a major centre for learning and cultural significance.
Visit to a local winery producing the “Wines of the Sand” (Vini delle Sabbie) and tasting of wines accompanied by local cuts and cheeses.
Arrival in Comacchio and accommodation in charming B&B.
Time to discover the city centre of Comacchio and dinner at leisure. Overnight.
Day 4: Delta del Po Park with ornithologist
Day tour to the Emilian part of Delta del Po Park. Here with your expert guide you will have the possibility to visit Goro, Gorino, the wood of Mesola and Ca’ Mello Oasi for bird watching.
Possibility to have a flight on the Delta del Po area (20 min – 60 euro pp)
Return to the hotel, for dinner and overnight. Free evening.
Day 5: Comacchio boat tour on Delta del Po + Sunset Tour in the salt Pans with naturalistic guide
Enjoy a boat excursion with Riccardo and discover the Eco-museum and Valleys of Comacchio by boat. Surrounded by hundreds of birds, among which are flamingos, you will discover an unexpectedly evocative ambient of fishing areas accompanied by an environmental guide.
The tour includes a stop and visit two old fishing stations (Pegoraro and Serilla), where you cansee the facilities and the original furnishings andequipment of the huts showing the lives of valley fisherman, as well as a traditional fishing sysytem (Lavoriero) faithfully reconstructed withreeds pillars.
End the day with a healthy walk to the ancient salt pans of Comacchio, where you can see a colony of 2.000 pink flamingos, who live here as they have for centuries. Besides Flamingos, Spatulas, Waders and Red-neck geese there are many more to be seen.
The local environmental guide Riccardo will meet you and take you for an healthy walk to the ancient salt pans Riccardo – born and raised in Comacchio – will uncover the little secret spots that only the locals know and share a special way of being in touch with the history, enviroment and the authentic life of Comacchio.
Return to the Hotel. Dinner at leisure and overnight. Free evening.
Day 6: Delta del Po Park with ornithologist
Breakfast. Still some time at disposal to visit the Roman ship museum and Manifattura dei Marinati (Pickling Factory).
Proceed toward Ravenna. Free lunch to enjoy Romagna cuisine.
Accommodation in charming b&B.
Enjoy a guided tour of Ravenna with an expert guide. Here, we will visit the Basilica of San Vitale and the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, the complex of San Francesco and Dante’s Tomb, the Palace of Teodorico, the Cathedral and many other historical sites.
Along the way you can stop to explore the Ravenna pine forests.

Day 7: Departure
Check out and free time in Ravenna before going back to Venice airport or extension to sorrounding areas.
