Itinerary

Day 1: Napoli Buddy Tour

Arrivals in Napoli airport. Private transfer to the city centre. Accommodation in boutique hotel 4*.

Meet our local buddy for a Neapolitan walking tour to be drove into the city life and   find out all you need to fit your vacation to your personal interests, to get confident with public transports, city map and more. Clara and his friends will give you great tips on where to eat the best and authentic pizza in town!

Free time for dinner. Return to the hotel and overnight.

Day 2: Napoli Traditions: Tales & Tastes Tour + Under Ground Naples

After breakfast, pick up from your hotel and beginning of a morning tour through the alleys of the Historic centre. Travelers will be taken discovering the real Naples and its older traditions, superstitions, sounds and flavours. The tour will reveal beautiful monuments but also ancient shops of lutes and handcrafts, with mouth-watering culinary stops for a full experience of Napoli’s soul.

During the tour you will admire some of the most interesting monuments of the city: S. Chiara Church, Gesù Nuovo Church, San Severo Chapel (veiled Christ), San Gregorio Armeno Church, Cathedral, S. Gennaro Chapel. You will visit some of the oldest handcraft shops of the historical quarters admiring Mandolin makers and nativity scene sculptures.

You will taste a real Neapolitan coffee accompanied by a typical pastry and will end the tour with a glass of local wine and taralli.

Some free time for lunch and before evening enjoy a tour 40 metres under!

You find a different world, unexplored, isolated by time, but deeply connected with the world above. It’s the heart of Naples, and the place from which the city was born, a world 2400 years old. Every historic epic, from the foundation of Neopolis, to the bombs of WWII, has left it’s mark on the walls of the yellow tufa stone, the soul of Naples, and the stone with which the city was built.

Day 3:   Campi Flegreii: Archeological Park of Baia

Breakfast. Departure for a visit to “Archeological Park of Baia”, the breathtaking Roman city where Cesar, Augustus and other emperors, built them huge villas and spend them free time between secret loves and plots.

Visit to the Castle of Baia, the fairy-tale fortress dominating the sea and built, during the 15th century, by Spanish sovereign. The castle host an important museum, where we will see finds dated more than two-thousand years ago, covered by mysteries and coming from arcane civilizations.

Possibility of Lunch in a typical fresh fish food restaurant on the port of Baia (not included).

Visit the ancient roman market, called, by locals, Temple of Serapide. Coffee and stroll through the alleyway surrounding the port famous for the suggestive atmosphere made of colors, sea breeze and friendly peoples.

Visit to Flavian Amphitheatre, the roman arena, projected by the same architect who did Colosseum and famous for the basement, where are still visible the holes and the caves used to put the cages of the bests and to create scenic effects.

Return to Naples and free time at disposal. Overnight.

Day 4: Pompei & Sorrento with Limoncello taste

Breakfast. Departure from Napoli Central station for a full day tour including the wonders of Pompeii and the zesty allure of Sorrento, on the Amalfitan Coast.

Meet your guide in central Naples and hop aboard a private coach (small group excursion up to 15 pax) for a short jaunt over to the world famous ruins of Pompeii -UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you step back into history. A miraculously haunting place to visit, you’ll truly absorb the lives of these Roman patricians and townspeople before they met their untimely and dreadful demise.

Explore the well-preserved fossils buried beneath ash for centuries, marvel at the multi-coloured mosaics still lining the Domus (homes of the ancient city’s most influential people), and see areas just newly opened to the public and still decorated with frescoes of animals, gods and landscapes.

We’ll then take a short break for coffee and a bit of shopping among local vendors before we continue on to Sorrento which overlooks the beautiful azure waters of the Bay of Naples. On the way, you’ll be entertained with tales of the area and its rich history as the preferred vacation spot for Roman Emperors.

Here you’ll have time to explore the town on your own. Your local expert guide will provide you with suggestions on places to visit, things to see and the best shops and cafés to patron so you enjoy the most the seaside city has to offer. Amble down ancient alleys, relax in picturesque gardens, take a postcard-worthy panoramic of the bay, the choice is entirely up to you.

 After your individual exploration you’ll rejoin your guide and the group for a taste of Southern Italy’s most delectable liqueur, Limoncello. You’ll learn how it is produced in one of Sorrento’s oldest shops and see the local ingredients that make this lemony libation so unique.

We head back to the Naples or for those who wish, we can include an extension on the Amalfitan Coast.

Free time for dinner and overnight.

Day 5:  Departure or extension to Amalfitan Coast

After breakfast, check out and private transfer to Naples airport.

Or continue your vacation on the Amalfitan Coast or the beautiful secluded island of Procida.
